Openings

So I was going through the archives the other day and found a bunch of photos that I had taken in San Francisco while I was there for a travel class. I decided that it was worth some time to go through them and have thus created my first set of images for my new series: Openings…

Let me know what you think!!!! Seriously…what do you think? :)

So while I was home for the holidays, my dear friend Jeremy gave me a ring and was wondering if I could take some photographs of his mom’s side of the family. Of course I obliged, and we gathered everyone into a tight space inside (due to the rain) and made it work. These are a few favs!!! Check it :)

Finally Finished…

My Santa Barbara family suffered a great loss this past spring when the Jesusita fire raged through the SB foothills. Cat Smith was gracious enough to let me come onto the property during the aftermath to document what had once been her home. Having spent much time in the house myself, it was both a surreal and emotional experience to see the damage.

On a different note, I’m quite proud of my photo skills for this project: Handheld Hasselblad self exposed at 5:30 in the afternoon, I guess photo school was worth it :)
